JIVE at the O2 Coffee House

Come join us for an eclectic evening of music, art, poetry and of course coffee! Tickets are 5 dollars availble by phone and at the door unless they sell out before, call 941-0202 to reserve your tickets. 5 dollars gets you into the show, a small snack plate and a regular coffee or a soft drink. Mixed coffee drinks and other food items will be available at additional cost. Due to room capacity restrictions, this event will be limited to 50 patrons, tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis. This event will take place every other Thursday evening.

2nd Annual Southeast Ohio Tourism Expo
9:00am - 5:00pm; University of Rio Grande & Rio Grande Community College, Bob Evans Farms Hall
Athens, Gallia, Pike and Jackson, Ohio Counties and Mason County, West Virginia will be showcasing all the wonders and interests in these areas that are available to natives and guests alike. Just a few delights of these areas are horseback riding; hunting and fishing; boating; theater; and history. The Expo will be open to the general public free of charge along with pre-registered tour bus operators. You will have a chance to speak with different tourism destinations from the entire region and learn about what they have to offer. Workshops and demonstrators will also be on hand for presentations.

Pike County Dogwood Festival
This event is held on the streets of Piketon, Ohio and features exhibits highlighting old-fashioned arts and crafts, quilt show, antique car show, bike show, cyclist Dogwood Tour, chain saw contests, fiddle and banjo contests, horseshoe contests, band concerts and lots of good old-fashioned food! Cyclist Dogwood Tour
34th Annual Cyclists Dogwood Tour Ride. Riders begin at the Piketon High School parking lot for registration. This ride is a fifty mile ride and was put together by Matt Minter. If you want to try your legs in the annual tour, contact Matt at 740-947-5409 to obtain an entry form or register on the day of the ride at the old Piketon High school parking lot on Sat. April 24; ride begins at 8 a.m. and the fee is $8.00.

Flower Workshop
1 p.m. in the Masonic Temple, 108 E. North St., Waverly.
The 2010 Pike County Fair's Flower Show will be on Wednesday, August 4. Entries are open to amateur flower growers in Pike County. To help you prepare winning entries, the Waverly Garden Club invites folks, young and old, to attend a flower workshop. This free prgram will be conducted by Fay Collins-McGinnis, OAGC Judge and Regional Design Study Chairman. An optional $5 luncheon plate will be available at noon on June 10 and served by members of the Order of the Eastern Star. Please pick a few blooms from your yard to bring to the workshop. Fetch for Funds
10:00 a.m. Third Annual Fetch for Funds Raffle Drawing. Numbered tennis balls will be tossed on the ground in Bristol Park in Waverly, Ohio. A dog named Vous, who is the Official 2010 Fetcher, will select winning numbers by fetching balls. Winners will receive cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25. Raffle tickets are available for $5 from any Pike Pet Pals member or by calling 740-941-1870. They will also be on sale prior to the drawing on August 14. Money raised from this event will help Pike Pet Pals provide inoculations, vet care and items for dogs at the Pike County Dog Pound. Pike Pet Pals is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization registered in the state of Ohio.

FNB Jingle Bell Parade Weekend
Local Variety Show and spaghetti dinner on Friday, November 19. Saturday, Nov. 20th enjoy a 5K run, large craft show, Christmas Open House throughout Waverly and Piketon areas. Visit our quilt show at the Pike County Library and our Pike Heritage Museum, chili cook off, Wine tasting and art exhibit. See the scaled down replica of ARC canal boat along the Ohio and Erie Canal Historic Trail. Many children's activities and a breakfast for adults and children alike at the Eagles Hall. Santa arrives during the Queen's luncheon. Luminaries line the parade route and if you desire a unique experience, stay for our Lantern tours begining at the Canal Church of Christ. Santa and friends provide children entertainment after the parade at the museum. Stay tuned for details for a kid's tractor pull along Market Street. During the day, from 1-4 pm, enjoy yourself at the Methodist High Tea. On Sunday visit our museum for a variety of programs.
